Yes, I know the trade quite well. Spent part of my career "at it".

You and Blackrose - the comedians on this thread. For a guy who "just can't remember it all at the same time" your memory seems just fine to me.

First crash to desktop in FFXV. Occurred as Iris was performing one of her special techniques in battle, fps came to a halt and then just crashed. Memory leak shows up a lot for this in google. Did you ever get crashes @specialkone?

I finally got back around to playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider last night and about an hour in got this error:

What Games are you playing right now? [2]-untitled-1-.png

I'm fairly sure that my PC has the resources to max out that game, so this is very annoying. I'm gonna have to do some research on it. I'm leaning towards it being a display driver issue since 1) it actually mentions that and 2) I've only had this happen with the newest driver and the one before it that was the SotTR Game Ready driver. If I go back to the last 399.xx drivers, I don't seem to have the issue.

I edited my post to mention it, but I'm on the latest driver. This one and the one before it have both thrown this error, and they're both the 400 series drivers. Seems like the RTX ready drivers don't like SotTR on my system for some reason. I haven't tried running the game in DX11 mode yet. I may do that and see if the crashes still occur. If they don't, I'll just roll back to the last 399.xx driver, because I'm not willing to give up DX12 and it's mGPU tech that gets such great SLI scaling with this game.

Oh, man. That's not good. No, I never crashed while playing FFXV. Not sure if I can help. I can tell you I never played it with driver 411.63. If it's a memory leak (quite possible) I can tell you I don't set my page file manually. Sometimes the longer you play without closing the game increases the possibility of a crash in a memory leak issue game. But I've played for about 2.5 hours at a time with no crashing. I played about 90% of the game at 150% resolution scale, 10% at 125%. But even at that I don't think my settings are as tough as your resolution which is perhaps (I'm guessing) why I didn't crash. I'm wondering if you reduce your TRAM settings does that resolve the crashing issue?
