I think Blackrose has Quantum Break. If I remember correctly don't think he finished it or wasn't that impressed. Blackrose?
Yeah, I never finished it. I like the risks they took with it, but the performance was pretty bad overall. Having to stream the TV parts of it was annoying too. I'll probably try to finish it one of these days, but with Shadow of the Tomb Raider having just come out, and Assassin's Creed and RDR2 coming out next month, it probably won't be any time soon.

Yeah, SOTTR looks pretty good. Blackrose - you were asking about it. There are a couple of different enemy take down options compared to ROTTR. Not far enough to know for sure but heard it's even more focused on stealth and puzzles than ROTTR. It seems to me at this point to be ROTTR part 2. But if you liked ROTTR I guess that's ok.
I ended up picking it up. I'm enjoying it, although I had to roll back to the previous Nvidia drivers at one point because I hit a point in the game that I couldn't pass because the frame rate dropped to around 15 FPS. Using the older drivers solved that.

I'm about a third of the way through the story, according to the save percentage, so I'm going to try to finish the story before the new Assassin's Creed comes out.

That's weird. Haven't seen those kind of FPS drops (yet). You think maybe an SLI issue? Yeah, it's fun. Getting into some of the puzzles now. Young Laura video attached. LOL.

Could be. I find that I tend to have micro freezes every few seconds unless I change SOTTR.exe to high priority, which I also remember having to do with Rise, so it could just be the dev team not learning from their mistakes. Seems to be a pretty common issue, actually, according to the Steam community for the game.

I really enjoyed the young Lara scene early on. It's probably my favorite puzzle so far.

Be warned, there are some very challenging puzzles later on, especially in tombs.

I haven't seen any consistent low framerate issues on my end either (stays at 60 everywhere on highest), but there's definitely some issues with stutters in the game, especially when you hit the larger encampents that seems to be related to cpu thread spikes when loading assets.

What's great about SotTR is that you can change the difficulty setting individually for puzzles, exploration and combat. I play on "One with the jungle" (all high) and there's one tomb one/third into the game that I swear took me 40 minutes to figure out.

I have an idea what tomb you might be talking about. I think I just did it. Took me a while too.

Oh great. So I have stutters to look forward to and puzzles that will likely take me an hour to complete. I'm old and usually take a break at the one hour point.

So why am I not seeing any OSD videos from either of you to show me the stutters and help me out with the hard puzzles? Essembe, can you do anything? Even the forum's finest members need a talking to once in awhile

Hahaha. Next time I hit a stuttery point, I'll try to get some video. Haven't been using the OSD that much. Turned it on last night and noticed that my top card was at 81c. Fully maxed out, SotTR is pretty hard on GPUs.

U DA best, Blackrose. Yeah, you can hit that ALT+F10 combo to record the last 5 minutes in shadow play.

Although 81C is no where near temp limits, aren't you getting downclocking? My experience is Pascal doesn't like to see much over 70-75C. Actually my one 1080 TI (but I have AIB card) rarely goes over 70C.

Just to add for Kol12, SOTTR isn't as tough on the GPU as FFXV but at your resolution it obviously won't be a walk in the park either. Saw this benchmark on youtube, 1080 TI at 3440 by 1440. Minimum FPS 58 with an average of 71.
