I'm tending to think the game itself has some issues, is it a PC port after all isn't it? The graphics are beautiful but I don't see why so demanding. I think the 3440x1440 resolution is the killer here, kind of heartbreaking for my 1080 Ti . Lowering the graphics settings only have a minimal effect at this resolution but I will keep fiddling. What's bugging me at the moment is the hitching or stutter.. What causes a sudden halt in fps to 3-4 fps momentarily? Does the game load from disk a lot? Wonder if my hdd bandwidth is a bottleneck.
Yes it is a console port which is what I meant when I said maybe it's "in the game". Look at Faith's post #412 of this thread. I agree with that.

If all your vram is being used that is typically when you will get stutters because the game will then access your hard drive. Doesn't matter how good your hardware is if the game is designed to do that, especially FFXV at high settings and your resolution. Notice Faith mentioned TRAM settings as I did which is one of the settings I would play with to start to try to reduce vram usage.

Thanks, SOTTR looks interesting I may have to try that next.
Yep, from the Steam DB. SOTTR is their top trending game.

Nice, dude. Are the graphics good? Hard for these old eyes to tell from that video.

Just starting SOTTR. Very early in the game but so far no stutters. Look at the FPS performance on the OSD. Sweet. Nice eel!!!

OK, thanks dude. Seems you have all the "advanced" graphic options available.

Yeah, SOTTR looks pretty good. Blackrose - you were asking about it. There are a couple of different enemy take down options compared to ROTTR. Not far enough to know for sure but heard it's even more focused on stealth and puzzles than ROTTR. It seems to me at this point to be ROTTR part 2. But if you liked ROTTR I guess that's ok.

Here's a bit more video. Miguel isn't looking very good. How many arrows can that jaguar take? At the end of that jaguar battle the left/right signals they wanted to finish it off were A and D keys., Took me a second to figure that out. LOL. Still running quite smoothly.

Nice. Thought this game would be pretty graphically demanding.. Are the graphics settings dialed up?

BTW I just finished playing ROTTR about a month ago, seems like relevant transition.

Just played a solid amount of SCUM, really fun game

Have killed tons of zombies, eaten the flesh of zombies, dressed in old disgusting zombie clothes.
Have hunted, killed and eaten wildboars, they taste great!
Was chased by bears, almost died!
Been chased away, attacked & killed by autonomous machines.

Finally found a safe place to stay in for awhile.
