Hey @specialkone, beating that game on SP is not an easy task. I haven't played it in a good while. Have you ever tried Digital Combat Simulator ? I played around with it for a while. Looked like it could be fun if I could ever learn how to fly.

Hey Hemimax. Good to hear from you too. An EVGA 3070, sweet. I appreciate the encouragement but that practice you refer to as motivation is actually frustration in my case. LOL. I have lost count, but I must have played hundreds of matches. Don't seem to get better. Yes the smoking, trying to get down to half a pack a day to begin with. For those who never started, DON'T. COPD is pretty rough.

Essenbe; another one of my best buds. I see you have switched to Windows 11. Very cool. But what about the rest of you?. I'll have a look at Digital Combat Simulator. Thanks. I'm not good at flying myself. Going through the training missions in MFS 2020. I am pretty sure that flight instructor gets upset with me. " Keep your air speed at 120. Keep your altitude at 21,000." It's almost like he/she is saying aren't you listening? That's why I'd rather bomb things in a new MS version of Air Combat. At 69 years old, you need to come out with it soon Microsoft.

    Cheers guys.

Been playing Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3, on Windows 10.

All the files, patches, No CD patch, manuals, etc., are here...
    https://www.myabandonware.com/game/m...for-europe-bwe

The game CDs are in bin/cue form. Anyburn can convert those to ISO images.
    The Official AnyBurn Website

Anyburn seems to be able to do anything, and it's free.

    Quickie directions...

    1. Convert CD1 and CD2 bin/cue to ISO images, with AnyBurn (see above)
    2. Mount CD1 and run the setup as administrator.
    3. When it asks for CD2, "eject" CD1 and Mount CD2, then click OK.
    4. After install, run the v3.1 patch
    5. Then take the v3.1 No CD patch and drop it in the install directory. Overwrite when asked.
    6. Run the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP
    7. You can set the level of sim realism in the game from arcade to way too hard.

Quitted RDR 2 after all these years and gave the game discs to the local pawn shop incl several others. Decided to go all-digital! (No worries, still got 79 games left on my external HDD on my PS4.) And by wiping my disc-based games I got now 900 GB back! (to be filled with games)

Forgive me for repeating myself, but still can't win a single player match in PUBG Casual mode. Look at this one. The second to last kill I actually took down a player after me in a vechicle with drop kit equipmentt. That's a first. Then of couse I die in the Blue zone.

PS: Why are you baby boomers still clinging on to Windows 10? Windows 11 working perfectly for me, even with an I7 6700K processor. All updates coming through fine.

Playing MS Flight Sim mostly. Wish those guys would come out with an air combat game line Pacific Air Wars from long ago in the DOS, 3.1 Windows era. 1942 planes landing on carriers like the Hornet at night and joining the great Midway battle. And how about a shock and Awe scenario like the Gulf war. I am sure those genious' at Blackshark. AI could come up with the coding for these games in their sleep.

Hi to Dude, Essembe, Solarstarshines, Brink, Old Mike and all the rest. Hope you're doing fine. Me I need to stop smoking. A Mcrosoft Air combat game would help with that. Cheers guys. Miss you all.

Hey @specialkone, your missed over here too.
It's not repetition it is practice, besides along with some nice shooting I thought you had that dinner cooked. Still plan to try that game sometime soon but right now still tweaking and gunning Division II. Besides all the big titles are just fizzling out cause all these new games are not new. I am really starving for some of the serious dogfighting content from years past.
Planning a fresh W11 this fall and a new EVGA 3070 (prices dropping $5-10/week over here).

Speaking from experience I hope you give up smoking.
I have been smoking tobacco since 13 yrs old. I have been tricked to quit smoking but never succeeded.
From my experience, after quitting new problems will surface. Tobacco is the drug to enjoy life. So just
smoke healthly, drink enough plain water and eat fruits, vegs and try to avoid meats.
I'm stll in good health after decades of smoking without filter a packet a day and also oral consume of tobacco.

Ken, dont worry about it. I have never won a solo on PC...I did on mobile lol. I have gotten 2nd place more times than I can remember. That is a very fun game, but the solo win is extremely hard in my opinion too.

I am using W11 eleven these days too, works great
