I'm at the the Refuge in the North East corner of Providence Ridge

I'm learning how to drive, not easy with a keyboard and I'm collecting/making explosives to kill a Plague heart

Any hints? Been playing only since yesterday

Trust me i had it off lol.
I turned it back on remember i run Benches i turn it off then back on always done it that way.

That game is locked at 60fps anyways so it makes sense why it went crazy with it off.
You need to turn G-Sync and V-Sync off to run any of the 3D Mark benchmarks correctly. Just make sure to turn both back on for gaming.

Hmm let see. I would recommend not accepting every mission that comes up but instead prioritize only a select few that sounds good to benefit your community. It's very easy to get overwhelmed by missions later on if you go out and just accept everything and everyone because they will continue to ask for favors constantly. At least it is to me. Obviously you can't know all the benefits when just starting out, but if you don't accept people's requests from other communities they will leave the map, but they will also come back later so it's not that big of a deal. Also don't recruit everyone you see either. I ended up with a base without enough beds and that made a ruckus. Instead before you recruit new followers you can click the 'survivor' stats at the bottom when you talk to them and see what benefits they have. You do not really want a person that can cause issues to your community's morale, but instead a person with better or open skill slots, like gardening or mechanic, that can help you later.

    Here's a few tips:

    • A van is more durable and have more bag space in the trunk than normal cars. Good for loot-runs.
    • Always have a follower and a vehicle with you when scavenging/looting.
    • [You can trade and swap items with your follower when talking to them, make them a mule for loot-runs.
    • You can transfer items/bags directly to your storage from the car when it is parked.
    • Don't pick up and store every material/food/fuel pack if your storage can't hold it. It will be wasted.
    • You can upgrade your cars with an upgrade kit, or with a mechanic in your community.
    • Don't claim every outpost you see. You only have two slots at the start.
    • Power and water stations are very good outposts to claim for facility benefits and morale boost.
    • Selecting a "builder" leader and completing a whole game with her will grant you a legacy boon / perk ability that you can use on a new game that will give you free water and power.
    • You can dismantle 'weapon remains' in the workshop for +50 parts.
    • Level 2 and 3 infirmary will heal wounds, fatigue and plague (when not severe/infected) automatically when you change character.
    • If someone gets fully infected with blood plague, make sure to give them an actual antidote (crafted with plague samples dropped from plague zombies at the infirmary), not just put them in the infirmary.
    • Pick up all the 'luxury items' and sell them to enclaves/traders when you can for more influence points.
    • Ammo is scarce, but if you have more than what you need in your community (+ammo), you can sort random ammo to use when taking zombies down in the storage facility.
    • Don't ram zombies with your car often when it's not upgraded to handle it, instead use your door to slam them.
    • When you maximize a skill on a playable character, you can specialize them towards different attributes.
    • Change and play different characters often in your community to increase their skill points.
    • Try to spread out the skill points per survivor in your community, so you end up with a more diverse group that can do more in the end.
