I think I had more fun at work than I would have playing such games.

This is why I challenge those that think gaming is child's play. That said, I don't mind a challenge at times, but sometimes game developers and mappers go overboard where it takes the fun out of the game.

Massive Entertainment (developer of Division 2) recently released a patch toning down the difficulty level in it's recently New York add on for the Division 2 as there were many complaints of certain bosses being near invincible or where certain weapons from enemies were insta kill to players; or gear unevenly leveled.

I remember playing Witcher 2 where in the first chapter defeating the Kayran boss was so hard and annoying even on easy that many players quite the game and there were many posts on this. CD Project ultimately patched the game to tone down the difficulty level.

So yeah, when your games become so challenging it causes players to quit, that's a problem.

All that said, Division 2 is designed to be challenging and makes no secret of this. It's also highly recommended to play in groups instead of solo play where some areas (and boss fights) can be extremely difficult. I guess Massive decided to make the puzzles and navigating around areas just as difficult as well

One reason I like single player games is that I can pause them and get my bulging eyes and fingers cramped from mouse rested and go get a coffee or drink. If you do that in MM games you are a door nail.

Yeah, I also prefer single player games as well. Division 2 is actually my first true multi-player I've ever played. And even there I play solo 90 percent of the time. It's actually a game I wouldn't have bought being a multiplayer game, but I got it for free when I bought my Radeon VII GPU.

That said, I do find it a fun game at times, and I've had a lot of success playing solo. But yeah, it's challenging, and frustrating at times because you can spend a lot of time completing a mission as boss fights are a pain so you find yourself dying and dying and dying over and over again. And you can't quit or you'll have to play the entire mission over again That's the biggest part I hate.

Yeah, I'm more into mission based games where there's a story to be told.

I'm just in it for the gunfights which are awesome, puzzles are ok, countdown timers are a chore, it's the third person perspective that I dislike. These online MP games would have been addictive 40 years ago but I will always prefer SP FP offline shooters.

I just played two classified missions (Night club Infiltration and Detention center rescue) and since both were ridiculous headaches, I thought I'd provide some deep hints on Night club Infiltration, and suggest YouTubing the other as it's a map maze. Classified missions provide collectables (video/audio files providing game insight) and unique trophy gear. They aren't easy to find and can lead to great frustration in getting to and find them. With that....

In Night club Infiltration in order to get the trophy you'll need need a unique code (randomly generated) to interact with 4 of 6 laptops in a computer room. To get this code you'll need to turn on four generators and note which fluorescent light gets lit and look for a symbol near it. (hint)

The problem most will run into is not noticing these generators (scattered throughout the map) or that you're walking past needed symbols until you find the computer room where you'll need to interact with 4 of 6 laptops to open a door to a room with the trophy in it. The other problem the symbols aren't easily noticeable (one is in a dark room so a scoped rifle helps); and it's easy miss the lit light position (hint). Missing these could have you going through the map a few times in order to find the right combination

In Detention center rescue getting to one of the collectables is an exercise in getting lost in a maze of stairs, doors, halls, and openings. You'll find yourself running around in circles trying to get to the 3rd (or is it 4th) collectable. Ironically all this running around will probably run you into the entrance to the trophy (that you actually see when you first enter the map) area; but that's a puzzle to be solved in shooting panels to close drain holes and open hidden doors to find a fuse to access a ladder (hint).

The huge headache here is time consumption where the map is designed (I call it "map maze") to have you running around in circles to get that one collectable In the end I YouTubed it. In this one it was actually easier to get the trophy than that one collectable.
@Dude told me that You Tubing a game was cheating.

Cheating, studying its all the same - getting trough without smashing the keyboard

BTW - if there was no YouTube would developers make games so massively difficult

I like a challenge but when your games need to be patched for being non winnable that's a problem
