There was 2GB update recently, that update or the one before?
I go through long periods between game play so I don't know which update it was; I just know I never had the issue before the last two updates.

Thus far the crash only happened twice, and only at base when either entering or leaving the building. What's interesting is the game's music will still be playing but the game and PC is frozen and requires a hard restart from the power button.

Outside of that my game play has always been smooth at max settings; even now. But the hard crash is instant and sudden.

That sounds like a hardware crash. Are you overclocking? Does anything in Event Viewer correlate to the crash?

I think we had this conversation in the past but I don't overclock. And I don't consider enabling "XMP" overclocking a system so let's not go down that path (for the general audience). But no, no CPU or GPU overclocks.

Anyway, the issue is limited to Division 2 and only after the last updates. They're random (though only at base) and only twice. BTW I'm also playing Witcher 2 and Outer Worlds and have no issues when playing those games.

That said I just updated my GPU drivers from the previous version (i.e. one version behind). And nothing weird in event viewer.

I will keep and eye on things though.

It could be an issue with the Nvidia driver you were on, GPU can still crash non overclocked. Try the latest drivers released on the 19th.

Please see my system specs - I don't use NVidia cards. I also stated I updated my GPU drivers.

    Thanks.

Yikes sorry. The picture freeze + sound still running sounds like a classic Windows/hardware crash but could be anything. No crash log in Event Viewer seems odd. Guess you'll need to see whether it keeps happening and then investigate it further.

I'm chalking it up to the game and nothing else since there are no other issues with PC or other games.
