He was "map gazing". That's what Dude always blames when he does something like that or runs into a tree when he is driving.

Look at this from the TFFF video. That is dude running right by me when all I needed was a quick revival. I revived team mates 3 times during our session. Wonder who they went to?

I get it, dude. And understandably here is how that strategy worked out for me.

And about 10 seconds later, for you.

Out of respect for the TFFF, that's why I posted a RIP pic instead of a constant repeat cut to the video.

I didn't see any issues watching that video you posted and I was looking at the OSD the whole time. Did something change since then, driver maybe?

Sounds to me like possibly the driver is failing and recovering. If you are ocing GPU, CPU or memory I would try setting back to defaults. High stakes for Nvidia with performance for BFV and SOTTR, not just RTX. I'm sure they don't want people saying non RTX owners are suffering at the cost of RTX features. Might want to post the issue on the Geforce forums and see if Manuel G responds. First thing they will likely ask is if hardware is running at defaults.
Nothing changed, I'm getting the hard freezes only since starting Tomb Raider. Have been playing AC Odyssey prior and no such issue in that game but I did have this issue in FFXV if you remember.

It does seem something like the driver is failing and recovering. When the stall/freeze occurs the GPU usage cuts at the same time. It all happens in a matter of seconds before it recovers. It is happening regularly and is spoiling Tomb Raider otherwise running very smoothly.

So this is only affecting certain games but why? There must something going on. If I recall in FFXV where I have the same problem I did set everything back to bone stock and it still persisted. Will have to investigate this further at Nvidia forums.

Errrr..., did I mentioned it was free on Steam? Andno, it's not a demo.........
