    Micro SD Card won't format

    Hi

Edited below as had the card in backwards but still not working

Had an issue today where my Micro SD Card got corrupted somehow. See this thread for what I posted earlier in case need more details

    http://https://www.tenforums.com/dri...corrupted.html

Anyways I got what I could and was then going to format the SD disk so I could use it again but having some issues. When I tried formatting it on the phone it got to 20% and just stopped.

OK Have edited from here down

OK so I had the card in backwards but even turned right side F drive for my SD card does not display a drive in fact now when I try and Right click the F drive to format the dish explorer just spins and spins

I also tried right clicking MY PC and then manage and disk management but same thing it never loads the disk directory at all showing the drives.

Any idea why this would freeze up like this because of this SD disk?

    Thanks
    Dave

Are the gold contacts still in good shape from when the card was inserted backwards?

Are you familiar with the tool Diskpart? Were you able to format it using Diskpart?

No Not familiar with this will it let me format and yes the contacts are fine it just seems to not be finding the disk when the disk is inserted (Properly) into the card reader and I know the reader works as I tried it with another card and that pulled up fine.

If this will let me format it where do I find it and how to format the disk when it seems the disk isn't recognized when inserted?

    Thanks
