@Showbiz, I have to go. If you don't have the version in this picture, you are not updated. Go back and extract the .cab file that you downloaded into a folder, using 7-Zip or WinRAR or any tool that will extract it. Use the method to browse to the folder you extracted, and click NEXT. It means the driver on Dell's site was installed after all. Could you show us the Hardware Ids of this device ? Just go to details and choose Hardware Ids in the dropdown menu.
@Showbiz, when you uninstalled your driver, did you also check this box to delete the driver software from your machine? Are you running a Dell XPS 13? You have no system specs so it's hard to know what we're dealing with. For some reason, this new driver, may not be compatible with your machine.
