    Hi CountMike

    I haven't a clue

It's a small HP form factor with
an intel core processor - not an
    intel mfg motherboard - don't
know who made the board... just
    has an Intel CPU...

hope that's as clear as mud, eh?

    thanks
    Karen
Hi Karen. You can use a program called Speccy to find out. Free download from here Speccy - Free Download - Piriform

A lot of forum members use this program, just get the free version and install. Then run it.

It will enable you to see what the make and model of your motherboard is plus a lot of other info about your computer.

Karen it would be more helpful if you posted a screenshot of Speccy. It should look something like this.

The latest and greatest is not available from the Realtek ftp site because the site is down for unknown reasons.

To install the latest driver from Microsoft (reportedly best sounding), version 7968 see here:

To download the last available driver (not the current driver) from the realtek ftp site with a setup.exe, click here - version 7962: Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version - Page 137 - Windows 10 Forums

Click at "Audio" button since we are talking about audio drivers. Need to know which sound chip you have there. Not all are Realtek.

    DooGie

I do not get any sound at all if I unplug
    the Plantronics headset.

I've unplugged the headset and the speakers
and rebooted and plugged the speakers back
in and the PC doesn't acknowledge it.

They worked perfectly prior to the update

    Thanks
