no rear or front panel working with 3,5mm jack on correct connection - im using active 2.1 speakers. only low humming on front AC97 frontpanel (or HD audio mode) with my Realtek HD audio driver (CG 8270 motherboard)

it used to work like months ago but i havent had any needs until today to use speakers - how i can fix this issue? its obvious that the computer isnt detecting any jacks input to the 3,5mm connectors. 3hours+ already tried to fix this but no go

all the newest drivers are on but just low humming sound from front panel 3,5mm jack with all full volumes. any tips? im getting slightly mad and unpatient here :E

AC97 standard doesn't allow jack detection, only HD standard does.

thanks. however, its still not working and i just wanna hear some audio. all the drivers seems ok from the control panel etc, but when i use HD audio standard, my "speakers" disappear from the device list and only "digital output" shows there.

Most of the Creative Sound Blasters have Win 10 drivers and I'm pretty certain that Asus soundcards do as well.

    Go here Creative Worldwide Support
for a compatibility chart for the Creative range.

Also a little bit on the ASUS ones here ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Driver & Tools - Xonar DX

I'm having issues on Windows 10 with audio - sometimes I randomly I get a buzz/and the audio freezes for 0.5-1 second.
Tried the manufacturers HD Audio driver, tried the 6.0.1.7624 and still happening.
It worked fine on windows 8.

Hey, I have the same issue! It sounds like some overdigitized or "get-stuck" sound effect for half a second and then everything continues smooth for hours. It happens maybe once or twice a day, and I experience it in every audio related software - Skype, Youtube, GOM video player etc.

I am using Realtek official driver from their website "R2.79 2015/6/25". I tried automatic upgrade and it replaced the driver with Microsoft one. Unfortunately Microsoft driver doesn't offer Equalizer enhancement which I need to tune my over-bassy headphones. So now I upgraded to the latest unofficial drivers mentioned by DooGie (thanks a lot). I hope they will work fine, but time will tell.

Maybe the reason for the issue is the fact that I'm using Equalizer? I guess, I'll have to try. The problem is that the issue is hard to reproduce, it doesn't depend on CPU or HDD performance.

I have experienced similar issues on Windows 7 only if I connect a HDD with bad sectors and try to recover data from it, but then my entire system and mouse freezes for a second or two. But the Windows 10 audio issue is completely different, it doesn't disturb my work in any other way. If I'm watching a movie when the issue happens, video playback is not interrupted at all.
