Honestly, I don't know, when I installed 7712 whql, the equalizer was there..., maybe a clean install of the driver??
Did that multiple times, it shows up on MSI and other MBs but nothing on Gigabyte.

Haha, good one... I have no equalizer when the Realtek Sound Manager doesn't install as part of the installation as I mentioned. Besides, I no longer use the equalizer as I have DFX Audio Enhancer serving that portion. So in CountMike's case, it might require uninstalling with setup.exe, then when it reboots, install it and see what happens. If it doesn't work, run setup.exe again, reboot and when the installer comes up, cancel and goto device manager to uninstall and remove the files, then without rebooting, delete the Audio folder in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86), run the setup.exe and install and keep running setup.exe until it works.

The kicker is when installing exactly same driver on different MBs (even clean install) there's different skin and different capabilities. That DFX Audio Enhancer didn't work for me like I expected either.

Hmm, what happened with DFX Audio Enhancer for you? I only have experience with notebooks that uses Realtek sound. On Desktops, I usually disable on-board audio and use a high-end soundcard instead.
