Wow, how did it happen? Even an uninstalling didn't work?

Nope nada it just like it ate my realtek audio manager not even an uninstall fixed it, was bizarre but at least now it is fixed, with a restore it came back. So i wanted to put the general warning out there to use it at own risk, maybe that is why realtek does not update the website, till they know all is working ok.
For a stable version, it couldn't happen. Realtek can't mark a driver as stable and WHQL and after install it go all fubar. But it could be an exception...
Well it did and it was bad so thank god its all back to normal i think i will stick to the windows update version that has been on this thread.
Same as DooGie, I installed using the installer which did the usual uninstall, reboot, install and all went well except DooGie updates using device manager instead.
HUH wired i wonder what happened in my case, not even a reinstall fixed it, i could on the other hand go into the realtek folder and select it and it worked, any ideas on how i can get it to install without flubbering it up again?
