The installation method has been answered multiple times in this thread so far.
For the best help, let people know what steps you have already tried and where you are stuck. By the first response, it looks like you already had a good idea what to do but hadn't tried yet.
OK so i got these i moved it to my flash drive as i did not want to just extract the file on desktop, i look in it and i do not see any kind of exe or INF file in this at all, so can someone point me to the page in this forum so i don't have to shuffle thru 12 pages or more to figure out how to install thanks.
Hi Folks. New guy here. Win 10 on AMD Asus PC. After updating to Win 10, I lost my optical out on my motherboard. It worked fine in Win 8.1. My USB out still works fine, but I want to go via optical to my outboard DAC and so far no sound. The optical should provide higher sampling rates than USB. I run the PC as a music server and use Hi Def music downloads.
I have done all the things advised on this string and others...but here's the problem: I downloaded the latest Realtek driver from MS Updater, (dated 8/18/15 I believe), and I hoped this would fix it. When I tried to load it via the device manager, it refused to let me replace the old driver. I then tried to delete the old driver and replace it with the new one, and windows wouldn't let me do that either.
So I am stuck with the "approved windows driver from June", and it will not allow me to update to the new ones that is posted on the MS updater site.
What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be appreciated......!
OK guys so here is my question i have these unzip like i said on my flash drive do i just point MS device manager update this driver to that folder? but here is the question will i get the realtek hd audio manager with this? or will that be gone. as i always thought doing that way would just install the driver but not the software???.
