is it just me that really has to use internet explorer to access the Microsoft catalog ? chrome or edge don't work, they want me to install explorer 6+ :) there is probably a trick i dont know ! :) ty trying latest version

EDIT: also i can'T seem to do the proper method to update the drivers.
i DO NOT have the option to "delete driver files" when i right click the driver in device manager/uninstall.

asa i do a hardware change check, they just pop back up.
If i do an uninstall using the realtek installer and reboot, they just pop pack up again.

auto install drivers is turned off in device manager settings.

    halpp !

How often do they usually update these drivers? unsure if I want to keep updating manually if they bring out a new one every week.

Can someone please provide a direct link to the driver's last version (6.0.1.7576x64)?

I'm not able to access the Microsoft Update Catalog, even using IE.

I hope the update will fix the really boring issue "no audio output device is installed" on my ASUS U36SG laptop.

    Hello,

I have a question, I have downloaded the .cab file from the catalog, have it extracted, which inf file you choose?(there is a big list of inf there)

I have tried the HDXRT it gives 2 choices(with same name) to pick and the first gave me a warning of not suitable, the second just installed correctly, it does work but I picked the inf file just randomly, do you have any tip/advice/tutorial for that?

    Thank you.

Don't point it at specific .inf file but only at the folder they are in.

Two of my officemates and myself are having an issue where Windows 10 is making our internal speaker be the "left" and our external speakers (with a headphone plugged into them) have become the "right" speaker. There are no other audio options on the playback devices list besides "Speakers/Headphones - RealTek High Definition Audio Default Device" (no other devices are disabled or disconnected in the list). I've upgraded my RealTek drivers to the latest (8/4 version) and still have had no change. The only way I've managed to get around it is by setting the level on the left speaker to 0.

I've tried uninstalling RealTek and attempting to reinstall without rebooting, this worked ONCE and I got two separate playback devices (one for internal and one for my plugged in speakers) but as soon as I rebooted it goes back and reinstalls itself and the problem resurfaces.

Hello, I have a problem with any Realtek driver since I updated from Windows 8.1 to 10 (x64).
On every boot, I have no sound on the rear speakers : the black pin switches automaticaly from "rear" to "side". I have to reconfigure every time !

Did someone had a similar issue ?

Here's my config if it helps : Asus Sabertooth Mark 2 and Logitech Z906 5.1 speakers.
