I just could not get Microsoft Update Catalog to work, then I got distracted and did not download the drivers. I am doing that now as we type. The 7801 drivers made WMP sound better, but the Win-10 Movie player sounds like crap. Will try the 7911 drivers, thanks beforehand.

Sorry but there's no way you'll know if the driver is beneficial to you without trying it out.

I can't find anything wrong with build 7811 WHQL, however the only differences I've noticed in recent builds are in slight differences in sound quality. Personally I've never had any problems with any of the Realtek HD drivers.
Well, it looks like this one actually works: 7811. Yeah, even the crappy Movies & TV plays the video without all the snap, crackle and pop B.S. in the audio, one wonders who these people hire these days. Oh yeah, I started programming back in the 1960’s so I am not new at this sh*t. This is not a particularly good recording, but check it out: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=...DC&FORM=VRDGAR
Besides I like this young axe player, play it on several video players and see if it is a good record.

So, while he plays better than me now; my arthritis and age gets to me, the video sounds 100% better with the drivers you suggested. Yo.

I have a problem with these drivers. I have a Gigabyte Gaming 5 motherboard with Realtek ALC1150 115db SNR HD audio with built-in amplifier. The driver and software installs fine, but it totally disables my microphone on my headset from working. I need this driver because I need to adjust the sound for optimal gaming. But I can't use it because they disable the microphone. I have tried everything and asked in a few places. Anybody run into these issues?

Sorry I've no knowledge of that problem as I always use a USB headset for gaming.
    Currently using a Corsair Voyd.

Try rolling driver back or System Restore.
