    Your English is fine steelseries.

I normally do a clean install with Realtek drivers. First I unzip the drivers into a temp directory then go to Windows Control Panel/Programs and Features, right click on the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver entry and select uninstall. The driver uninstalls and asks you to reboot which I do.
After rebooting I go to the temp directory where I unzipped the Realtek HD driver to and right click on the setup.exe file and select run as administrator. The driver then installs and asks for a reboot. I do this and everything is fine.
I've done it this way over the past five years through Windows 7 and Windows 10 and not had a problem.

However I don't use the Realtek drivers for my microphone or headset as it's a Plantronics USB one.

Driver version 6.0.1.7796 is now available on the Microsoft Update Catalog.

Brink, it's probably not worth updating the first page as although my link takes you to the page and you can add the drivers to your basket when you try to download them you just get an error message.

Thanks Brink, can you download the driver from there though? Am I doing something wrong?

I just tested, and it seems it has the same issue again.

    So it isn't just me

This happened with the last Realtek HD driver that was on the Microsoft Update Catalog.
For my own purposes I think I'll stick with the Realtek ftp.

Hi all! I have a problem that's driving me crazy!! I reported this problem later in this thread and i'm still trying to solve it. The solutions i was given wouldn't help.

Problem is: everytime i turn on my computer i listen an annoying "shhhhh" distortion over every sound (sounds, music, movies) i hear. For example if i click on the volume icon, i hear the default "ding" sound, but with that "sshhh" at the end. I managed to record it and amplified the volume using Audacy for you to hear what i mean.

The only thing i can do at the moment is, whenever i turn on my computer, i desable the "Realtek High Definition Audio" on System/Device Administator and rightafter i enable it again. Like "reseting" the drivers. Problem solved, no "shhh" thing, but its not the real answer. So i think it has to be something involving drivers, any clue?? I've already tried unistalling/reinstalling drivers.

    Thanks in advance!! :)

The catalog website says I need internet explorer.
So, when I use it I see the drivers to select but as soon as I add them for download into the basket I
    get this message?

    Whats up?
