@Clint, I managed to tell the repeating BingToolbar to stop by clicking, do not ask again for this program except I can't get info when clicking on the links... You should probably get 7707 from the link in post #579 instead as that is directly from Realtek's site.

What I ask was which files do I need to download.

The 74.4MB file is x86 and the 96.0MB file is x64.

I always prefer to download direct from Realteks' site, from there you get a .zip file which contains the drivers for both x86 and x64.

Thanks @DooGie as it confirmed what I thought even without being able to see the details. Just like you, I prefer to get it directly from the source as long as it's WHQL and besides that, Realtek has 7707 already, why bother with 7701.

Thanks DooGie. That answers the question

Thanks for the heads up Zardoc.
I've just replaced 7707 with 7708. Only change I've noted is that now Realtek Audio Manager runs at startup on 7708 whereas on my system 7707 didn't.

Started getting scratch sounds from W10 a few weeks ago. initially W10 upgrade from W7 was fine. looked around and ran into this post. Didn't read all the posts but the first couple of pages and then the last couple. Anyway, I installed 7708 - 7708_PG438_Win10_Win8.1_Win8_Win7_WHQL. Still having the same problems. Sound on my box comes from an EVGA x 58 SLI. Certainly an older motherboard but the realtek drivers had no problem installing on it.

@DooGie, is the uninstaller in CCleaner supposed to uninstall cleaner than Realtek's setup.exe program since I was thinking about trying using a uninstaller to see if it will completely clean the system of the Realtek HD Audio driver before installing.

I've not tried uninstalling using CCleaner. U've been uninstalling through Programs & Features then rebooting and running the CCleaner Registry cleaner.
I'll check out the CCleaner uninstall when the next set of Realtek HD Drivers arrive.

Thanks @DooGie, maybe I'll give Revo Uninstaller a try since supposedly, CCleaners is just a front/end for the built-in windows one so not sure if it's better or not. I have done the uninstalling using Program & Features and also using the Realtek setup.exe method.
