That's the part I hate about RealTek drivers, it's big for a download and then it requires uninstalling, reboot, then installing and then you have to do the settings all over again.

This has always been the case, ftp is just putting the file there while the website requires updating the page that takes way more effort.

Yes for a driver it is a big download. However for me it's never required a reboot.
I just unzip it to a temp folder and install through Device manager then set Foobar to use it.
All my PC music listening is done through Foobar, everything else I just use a Plantronics headset.

Was finally able to get my drivers updated... same audio glitches as with the old drivers though. Wondering if the new Win10 build is going to be necessary to fix it.

To install driver (.inf) through Device Manage is okay if you don't care about the Tools & Codecs files updates.

True, I don't want the tools and codecs, just the driver.

Personally I'd go for the first one in the list.

    ftp://ftp3.realtek.com.tw/Realtek/Ge..._Win7_WHQL.zip
