No Tony it isn't on the MUC yet. That's what asturias7 was referring to. I don't have a link yet although you can get it from at least one site already. However I'm not prepared to post links to third party downloads on this forum. Sorry :)

They may wait until Realtek release a better build. I gave 7989 a go last night then this morning uninstalled it and went back to 7982. The sound using 7989 was not very good at all

I spoke to a tech guy. He says a better build should be available in the upcoming days.
Supposedly it's something like version 7994... supposedly.

Still, I miss being able to access the Realtek FTP server...

Any time.
If anything, we knew the updates were secure and official.
Some websites have stupid .exe files that basically either install bloatware or unwanted programs, or are laced with viruses.
