I shut off a lot of sounds, seriously, I see the screen and I don't want the clicks, pops and whizzes.

On one device the recycle bin and start navigation have sounds.

At one point a long time ago I had all kinds of crazy sounds. For a error I had Hal from 2001 space odyssey state he would let me do that and daffy duck at the start up saying this time you push a button. Maybe that when when I went silient.

The sounds are set to be customized to your tastes.

I wonder how long that will continue. Use to be you could do all kinds of things with color, some of those have gone.

    Good luck.
ok but if you choose "windows default" what are the settings on "start navigation" and "recycle bin"? sound on them or are they set to none by default?

You wanted to know default so I went to a clean machine that I know I haven't changed.

The default is none and they make no sound.

ok so either i remember wrong about having sound on them at first, or either the sound-settings changed after i upgraded to another newer version of win10

If you want sound on those things, Take the drop down menu under Sounds and choose a sound you want, and test it. You can also press the Browse button and choose any of the sound folders and choose the sounds in there.
