That just looks like an icon with a red arrow pointing into computer to install. You don't need to click on that. The file file Dalchina gave you executes and installs everything.
So is this connected via wire or wireless???
Please disconnect the device and or power it down. Uninstall all software and drivers. Restart computer.
Find the file that Dalchina provided link for. Double click on file. This installs everything. (I just did it on my test system, that I'll have to clean up.) Keep the device disconnected until it asks for it. Connect and let install complete. You should see Epson Scan as a program.
If this is not happening then something is corrupt in system. Redo the process. This time after you uninstall use Revo Uninstaller to scrub renaming. Not sure if Epson has utility, quick search says they have for Mac. Once it is all out, restart computer. Then try install again with printer / scan disconnected until it calls for it.
Bedtime here. I'll check in tomorrow, other may still be on. Good luck.
thanks i am going to bed too i will work on it tomorrow. i have Obit uninstaller that does a deep clean
On a different tack - have you looked at your device manager and checked your scanner is shown there ok?
If it s, do you have a program that uses a scanner? Windows Fax and Scan should tell you readily if it can access your scanner - launch it, and click 'New scan'.
This printer/scanner does work with previous laptops. It prints fine with this laptop. But it has never scanned. This time before I uninstalled the driver, I noticed when I tried to uninstall that the scanner driver had a red X on it. I uninstalled, deep cleaned, and restarted only to download again and install but once again it does not seem to install properly. That is where I am at, there seems to be some kind of glitch getting it to either totally download or install.
Could you post a screenshot showing the red X- I don't know where you're seeing this.
You could try Epson support:
Contact Epson
Again that arrow is just part of icon, data going into machine.
I picked up on your comment, it has never scanned. Being an all in one can you make a copy on this device?
