[QUOTE=Caledon Ken;1203275]....., make sure it notifies, set what to do on levels and monitor.....[/QUOTE
Obviously can't check battery, but I set parameters on display and hard drive low so I'd get a quick response
and they both work...

I remember a long time back. There was another issue like this. If you want to search threads you can search battery, the second driver, control method battery and my user name. Of course after doing what zbook has recommended.
I think we uninstalled both items under Batteries and let system redetect, I think.
Check to see if there was a typo.
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -energy -output c:/energy-report.html
Sorry... isn't the / right after C: supposed to be \
I use this to place on desktop
powercfg /energy /output %userprofile%\desktop\Energy.html

First, I'm not very good at Command Prompt syntax: so my sole experience here was to correct C:/ to c:\. I tried to replace that second c:\ with Caledon Ken's alternate which would place the report on the desktop.
In all cases got the same error message:
'C:\Windows\System32' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Now, I don't really have a clue, but wonder if it's saying, the 'C:\Windows\System32' is the 'wrong' part of the
command. If I'm saying stupid things, tell me, don't know what I'm talking about.
That said, I'm quitting for the evening. I still would like to see what that command will generate on my computer. I'm leaning heavily to a deadish battery as cause given all the things that have been tried (second choice would be Microsoft screwing up the 1703 update). There's a store in Mississauga that fixes cellphones and computers, maybe they would have even a used battery that could be tried.
With that, I say until the next time, Happy Trails to you...

This was the in the earlier post and worked again for administrative command prompt:
C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -energy -output c:/energy-report.html
Follow these steps:
They are all keyboard entries:
1) win + x keys (simultaneously)
2) a
3) alt + y keys (simultaneously)
This should open administrative command prompt.
4) copy and paste: C:\Windows\system32>powercfg -energy -output c:/energy-report.html
Got it to work, except not exactly as indicated
I f I use the whole line including the output report, Get an error that it doesn't seem to find powercfg, but it is in in System32.
So I started stripping code from the right going left, i.e the C:/ output. That didn't work either.
Next from the right was the -output, so I stripped that and got a report into windows\system 32.
Going to look at it after I write down the summary of errors.
Summary- efficiency problems found
3 errors
2 warnings
26 informational
I will post report retails shortly
