Low format and partition Hard disk to be use in MacBook

    Hello

Trying to help my daughter with her Macbook hard disk problem

Can I low /repair, low format and partition a drive with my PC then use it in a Macbook? If so how do I proceed?

    Macs use a different filesystem.

    Paragon might have something.

Paragon Hard Disk Manager (HDM) supports HFS+

    File systems

    NTFS (v1.2, v3.0, v3.1)
    FAT16, FAT32
Linux Ext2FS, Linux Ext3FS, Linux Ext4FS, Linux Swap
    Apple HFS+
Other file systems (in the sector-by-sector mode)
    With BitLocker encrypted hard disks

Internal or external drive? HFS+ is the MacOS native format, exFAT is fully supported on both Macs and Windows so it's the best choice for an external HDD to be used on both.

Apparently, even the free version of Partition Manager 14
    • Convert NTFS <> HFS file systems without reformatting
    • Support of GPT/uEFI configurations
