The four pin cable that comes from the Power Supply, would be for a Motherboard connection for extra voltage. The DRAM refresh could be bad RAM or something else. You might want to find a mom & pop shop to look at the machine, since you are starting to get into problem areas that are harder to diagnose online, especially if the system is not booting, which can be due to a malfunctioning Motherboard or Power Supply.

Going by Crucial, this is the type of RAM that it uses: DDR3 PC3-12800 CL=11 Unbuffered NON-ECC DDR3-1600 1.35V

This is the motherboard that machine uses. You will notice that it does not have a space for the 4 pin connector. Original New For Acer Aspire XC-100 Integrated AMD E2-1800 1.7G CPU Desktop Motherboard D1F-AD : laptop ac adapters laptop LCD cable laptop Motherboards laptop parts

It's booting now. It's because I had the RAM in wrong. I will check into the local computer shop here in town.

Now that it is Booting, you got one headache out of the way. Since you have been dealing with it all day long, I would give it a break and maybe use tomorrow to look up some more stuff. You can use the Hiren boot Disk to check the system for issues. As for the bios update, it is usually done by using the installer in windows, a boot up installer or in special cases, in the bios. Make sure you have decent power, or else you could brick the motherboard.

Were you able to run the administrative command prompt command without problems?

After completing the prior commands please post the results into the thread and please copy and post these commands to collect similar logs files as the DM log collector:

See if the log collector works with the default user (administrator).

And see the above post in case it still does not work.

See if you can run the DM log collector. If you can post the zip into the thread.
If you still can't please indicate the error message.
For the administrative command prompt command to generate similar files please post using one drive or drop box share links.

I couldn't run the DM log collector. I will post the error message, and will also post the files like you said, however.
