Can you guide me through the process? I don't see Bluetooth listed on the computer or in device manager. I am thinking that the Bluetooth hardware or whatever is hidden. I don't know where to install the software to. This computer is not Wi-Fi compatible. When I first bought it, it had Bluetooth on it though.
Can anyone guide me through the process of installing or re-activating the Bluetooth driver and radio on my mom’s Acer PC? It had Bluetooth on it when we bought it, but now it’s gone. I’m trying to reinstall it and turn on the radio again. She has a new Samsung Galaxy S7 that said it could lock and control her computer whenever need be.
@Winuser, I’ve tried that but it’s not working. It seems after the clean install, Bluetooth is broken. I went to Services.msc, and the Bluetooth support thing (whatever it’s called) was set to manually come on on. I had to put it automatic. It was working for a little while when I would right click something to send a file over Bluetooth but now it has stopped working again. It doesn’t even have the Bluetooth logo in the tray.
I'm thinking it could be one of three things. 1 The card needs to be reseated. Pull the card out and plug it back in. 2. the card is going bad. 3. The driver is not compatible. If you can get it to be listed in Device Manager either check for a updated driver or try using a older driver.
You're making this harder than it really has to be.......get it from here.
