    Dvd drive not showing


    I am using a laptop in which dvd drive is pre installed but is not been shown neither in this pc nor in device manager. On pressing the button on dvd drive it opens and when disk is inserted and closed the voice of disk being read also comes.

    Is this the HP 15r014tx in your system specs? If so, try the steps in this thread....

    It may be that your DVD drive has a hardware failure (as was suggested in that thread).
