I was scrolling through HWiNFO64 when I saw that, after about 9 months of use, my SSD had 22% remaining life. That was about two days ago, and it's now at 20%. Strangely, CrystalDiskInfo doesn't report my remaining life (just says 'Good') and the demo of SDLife said I'm at 100%. I'm not sure what to think or do here, and I'm starting to panic.

Fortunately, I had this report from HWiNFO64 lying around from earlier for some reason (followed by a new one).

I would not trust hwinfo64. Might want to try Toshiba's own utility:

"Remaining Life" is not an exact number by any means, Different programs interpret it different ways. Parameters taken into account are time in service, amount written to disk, off - on cycle count but also number and/or type of errors encountered. If there are no errors like bad/relocated sector count or weak spots found, you can disregard "Remaining Life" all together.

For the heck of it, you can also try chkdsk C: /f then reboot.(if other than C: then no reboot is needed.)

If you have a regular backup regime, you won't need to worry about end of life so much.

    1. Toshiba's SSD Utility says "no drives available."

    2. Trim is enabled.

    3. I also looked in the BIOS and can't even find an option for SMART.

    4. I'm not sure if this is in any way related, but I looked in Process Monitor and found wmiprvse.exe is accessing tzres.dll like hundreds of times a second constantly. I did the trace thing in Event Viewer and got this:
    Code:
    - <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

So cimwin32.dll and I guess winmgmt (PID 3904).

I also don't know if it's related, but I just switched from Avast to BitDefender yesterday and in Firefox I just set the sessionstore setting to 15 minutes instead of seconds.

I'm sorry, I know I'm just vomiting out random information at this point, but I don't really know what else to do.
