    Clean install was a success

Now back to the very original problem, the sound panel. *drum roll* It works!

That's great news, DENMON! I take it everything went well except for the fan warning? I used to get that only when rebooting to switch to my other partition in dual booting. I think it's a flaw in power management. Not sure, but the fans do work. There is an Asus utility I have installed that controls and monitors hardware. We'll deal with that later.

I'm curious as to how the Command Prompt scripts went. Ok I take it?

Did you use the MS account or do local? Were you able to get that folder from OneDrive?

Depending on how much you use it, your machine will seem busy for a day or two updating and sorting itself out. After that, I recommend installing some better drivers from Asus, for I'm quite sure Windows installed some generic drivers upon install.

Ya everything is fine, I have my onedrive folder and I am installing everything again. Also I did have to sign in with a MS account.

How do I get rid of that warning because I don't want to have it every time I restart or shut down

Set BIOS to ignore the CPU fan. Save and exit. You won't get that warning any more, but you have to be sure it works right from now on.

Ok I'll look for that. And don't worry about it actually not working. The warning happened since the computer was made and I never had any actual problems. I just ignored it.

Install a utility called Ai Suite. Go to the Asus site > Support tab > Consumer > Motherboards > Where to find drivers, manuals and specs > Follow the instructions. You'll want to download all the latest drivers unless Windows has done so already.

Check > Settings app > Update & Security > Windows update > View installed updates > You'll see a driver section there.

Also > Settings app > Update & Security > Windows update > Advanced options > Checkmark "Give me other updates" if it's not already. Most time, but not all, Update will download the proper drivers. Depends on how fussy you are about drivers. This is also why to wait a few days to see.

Ok, DENMON. Now that you're PC is clean installed:

As you may know, there are different categories of threads on the site. Ask questions in the proper category. Because you game you may want to stay close to Gaming.

You may want to go hard wired Ethernet.

Purchase/add another HDD to backup on.

Please don’t go poking around changing things at will. Ask questions.

Stay away from 3rd party maintenance or Registry cleaner programs. Windows maintains itself just fine unless there's a problem that arises.

It was nice working with you. Good luck. :)
