So am I taking screenshots of the device manager or the disk management, or both? I gtg right now and I'll be back in an hour
Both please. If you have the spinner too, then we can proceed. No need for other backup media.

Thanks HG for recognizing my error.

Denmon looks like you just have one drive and I was reading HG's specs. Ouch.

So Denmon when you have all you data off on the various storage devices you are going to use please let us know.

Hopefully one of us will be on tonight. Thanks again HG

I see your on, DENMON. I'll assume you're backing up that folder?

Do you sign in with an MS account?

I haven't found a DVD yet so I can't back stuff up yet. As soon as I do, I'll let you know and I will clean install my computer. And I don't have a MS account.

Ok. I thought of OneDrive that you can use to backup. Is that on your computer? The cloud icon on the taskbar system tray. May be hidden. Click on the up arrow at the right.

I don't think you need to, but to retrieve the data later I guess you'll have to. What does it say when right or left clicking on it? Right click should open up a menu.

I'm surprised your PC wasn't set up with an MS account. Not that you need one and some don't like them, but there are many benefits in having one. OneDrive across your devices is one. Access on your phone. Thing is you can store that folder there, but to retrieve it after install you'll need an account. You can wait until you get DVDs. Up to you.

You'll be able to sign into OneDrive to retrieve that folder or anything you store there. It's free with a certain amount of data.
