One of the USB ports of my desktop PC only recognizes storage devices

    USBdeview is an utility from Nirsoft, that gives some extra info about previously installed connected devices. Connect one device that will be recognized, then disconnect and with USBdeview clear history.

    Not sure if it will help, you could try to get some extra info.

    Also, did you changed anything in BIOS /EFI ? Are both USBs in front USB 3.0,

    Edit: did you assign any kind of boost function to device at that USB?

    I am afraid I don't know what boost function means. Nothing has been changed in BIOS and both ports are USB 3.0. It works occasionally when I plug/unplug the receiver several times. But one of which never ever works. Except for flash drives.

    USBdeview shows devices connected to the other USB ports (e.g. USB headphones) but when I insert a wireless mouse or any other device that is not a USB disk, no activity is shown.

    It would be good to eliminate hardware problems, too (switch USB connections on motherboard and check if the same USB in front doesn't work).
