So what the heck is going on nobody can hear me with this mic on windows 10 i put it on windows 7 machine and wala loud audio and people can hear me, i put it back on windows 10 and low audio despite the audio level set at 100 %, but know boost for it at all, so how do i get this mic to sound like it does on windows 7 loud with the slider only at 50% on windows 7. i don't know what to do how do i fix this the snowball is a USB mic and its brand new and works on windows 7 fine, but not 10, anyone have a clue how to boost my audio so i can use this mic on windows 10.

do you think Equalizer APO would fix a poor mic output issue and lack of mic boost i heard about this app off youtube but did not want to loose other sound enhancements or anything ?

Could it be the power from the USB port(s)? If you are plugging into a front panel USB port, try a rear port. This model has apparently been around for a while as the web site documentation talks about "Vista and Win 7" and refers to recording with a very old version of Cakewalk Sonar. However, as its USB it should also work in Win 10. But, try a different port and see how it performs.

    (I have a recording studio).

Yeah i tried a new port nothing will work to make the audio louder, and with lack of mic boost for usb mic on windows 10 it kind of sucks, not sure what i can do at this point, yeah this model of the snowball ice has been re done for windows 7 and up, the older ones with a serial number won't work on anything above windows 7.

I see good and bad reviews about Equalizer APO. You will have to just try it and see how it works. I would make a System Restore point before installing it, in case it messes things up.

I don't have a USB mic so I can't try my system and see what does or doesn't work.

I hesitate to post on this thread because I know very little about this sort of thing compared to people like Fireberd and probably the OP.

But I do have a different Blue USB mic (a Yeti) which I've only really started to play with, but it does seem to work OK with Windows 10.

Looks like the drivers are provided by Microsoft for mine.

I can't remember if I needed to go into Sound within Control Panel to tweak the Recording levels, but I may have done (?)

I also find Audacity useful for playing around with setup - for one thing I can confirm that it is actually the expensive mic that's picking up the sound and not the cheap laptop built-in mic... (Wouldn't be the first time I've done that... )

Edit: I forgot to say - one time I got pretty bad performance was when I had another computer in the background with the fan going. You couldn't hear it very loudly on the mic, but I think some clever processing inside the mic was perhaps trying to cancel out the noise behind and highlight the sound in front, but in doing so it affected the overall sound.

mine looks like its provided by C-media here is a pic. as you can see that is the only slider i got for mine and as far as i can tell it controls just the volume output nothing more, i'm half tempted to try the program i listed above, but have heard of people loosing sound enhancements from realtek from installing it.

The mic level dialog on mine looks pretty much the same as yours with just one slider.
I see your drivers look recent too, it's not like they're from 2009 or something.
I edited my earlier post to say something about noise levels behind the mic affecting the sound; could that be an issue for you?

don't think so i use ham radio software echolink and all they have said is my audio is very quiet not enough behind it , i have to put my mouth super close to the mic so they can hear me, they did say there is no background noise at all.
