Windows 10 Install can't load storage drivers -- Lenovo Flex 3-1130
Good Day All,
From time to time, when attempting to install a fresh copy of Win 10 via USB on some of the new ultrabooks (with PCIe storage), when I get to the partition screen -- after selecting the "Custom" install option -- Windows 10 Install shows no storage partitions because it can't find the storage driver.
This once happened w/ a Lenovo Yoga I was working on for a client. I was able to find the .inf files online and successfully load them via USB -- then I could see the partitions.
Now I have a Lenovo Flex 3-1130 (80LY) w/ a regular sata drive & I wish to do a clean install on a new HDD (because the PC doesn't boot past the Lenovo logo w/ the old hard drive) but the Win 10 installation doesn't see any storage devices -- I made sure to format the new HDD to NTFS prior to install. Thus, I went to the Lenovo driver support page for the device & couldn't find any storage related drivers either.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated?
There is always the possibility I guess that the sata connection/motherboard could be @ fault as well...
