I can't//don't know how to update driver

Hey so I am currently trying to update my computer so that I can play sims 4 but my graphics card isn't good enough and needs to be updated. I don't know how to though.

My os is: Windows 10 64 bit
My current graphics card is: intel (r) Q35 Express chipset family
Everything else on my computer is fine to play the game.

I've tried doing the settings, device manager, update drivers etc etc route but it didn't help as it didn't really update anything. I then looked on the intel website for drivers. It came up with 'intel graphics media accelerator driver for windows 7' and in the description it said 'this is valid for intel Q35 express chipset' which is mine. My problem is that I'm on windows 10 but this accelerater is for win 7 so it will be incompatible. There are no other versions for 10 and so I'm not sure what to do. Can someone help me please?

    Welcome to tenforums Helpme12 :)

There is a possibility your graphics card won't support the game. Some earlier hardware isn't listed as supporting W10, that doesn't mean it won't, just that it wasn't tested for W10. Updating drivers might be a fix, maybe not. After you fill out your system specs we'll be better able to help you with finding your graphic card drivers if any are available.

edit: I looked around a bit using Google, Intel's website shows 'discontinued' and doesn't have anything available more recent than 2009-2010 for XP, Vista, and Win7. You might be out of luck as far as updating the driver, looks like you're going to have to upgrade the graphics card. Before you do anything wait and see if somebody else posts a better solution.

Bad news, looked through some previous topics here at tenforums. See the quote below, it is reply #6 in this topic Black Screen after login- Intel Q35 - Windows 10 Forums The topic is 661 days old, but still relevant to your question

    Hi Bobkn,
In fact those are the drivers and they give the black screen after login. According to Intel's support site, the Q35 is not supported in Win10. AND, I Win10 will not let me take this to Basic Windows Driver. Win10 on this machine - Win10 is not doable on this machine, or any machine with the integrated Intel Q35 Video chip.

    Thanks

Your results may be different, but it doesn't look good.
