Latest ASMedia USB xHCI and Root Hub Drivers

I have noticed, that MS installs its own driver over ASMedia's, which might cause issues.

Even, if you have automatic driver installation disabled, some updates might change it.

Since ASMedia does not provide direct downloads, only 3rd party links are provided.

    Last Updated: Sep 25th 2019

    DRIVER VERSION: 1.16.59.1

    Driver Date: 15-Aug-19

    (32-bit and 64-bit Windows)

Microsoft Update Catalog (contains both drivers)

    Hi,

Please can someone help me with this

Since the last windows 10 update i am having trouble in particular with one driver called:ASMedia USB Root Hub DriverThis USB keeps installing itself and never stops. I keep hearing the windows beep that usually comes when you insert a new usb input into your computer. I have also tried uninstalling this and installing it again, but still same issue. It only stops beeping if i completly uninstall this driver or disable it. But then obiouvsly the USB doesnt even work.To be honest im nto even sure which USB input it is? Is it motherboard based or external? Ive spent many hours scratching my head to no avail, please if you could help in anyway it would be really appreciated!!

I have already tried installing the driver given above but still same issue even with 1.16.47.1Thanks.

Ah dont worry about it, i actually just managed to solve it by uninstalling them both again, then removing the usb input and changing it around with another usb input. Took me a few good hours, but managed to solve it in the end

I am using windows 10 and could not detect my USB external memory stick. Device Manager indicated for ASMedia USB Root Hub, that "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" . My DriverMax program indicated that the driver is up to date and I have spent the past week back and forth with DriverMax for a solution. DriverMax finally told me that there is no update for the driver, so I searched for a driver update and came across this site.
Downloaded and installed the latest ASMedia drivers listed above and it works. Just want to say thanks for posting the driver.

I have actually found it via Driver Easy Free, it is the best driver updater I know.

You can always find this stuff through the Win-RAID site itself, in the Forums section. As I write this reply, the current URL for General:Storage Drivers is Forum - General: Storage Drivers (AHCI/RAID, NVMe and USB). You can navigate from there to the USB3.0/3.1 drivers. HTH,
