Just read your reply and tried to download the Macrium Software when I get a notice stating that some files were not downloaded correctly and then a large notice stating that the software cannot be installed!?! Now what?? I´ll check back later, it´s 2.30 a.m. now and I gotta sleep.
Macrium is used frequently in this forum. There are experts in using it to recover drives. It's unclear as to why you are struggling to use it. I had not used it and just tried it for the first time and it went smoothly. Maybe these images might help?
Did you download the application from the Macrium web site or downloads.com?
Maybe trying the other will work?

HP 6550b, originally with Win 7, recently upgraded to Win 10, then the mute light would stay orange (indicating muted) when in fact the function worked as expected, showing in the apps. etc. what the actual state was: muted or not muted.
What worked for me: go to HP site, get the Keyboard driver (the light is on the keyboard!) for Win 7, (HP doesn't provide Win 10 drivers for this old machine!!) "HP HotKey Support", SP53796. I let HP Assistant do the installation, (where was this tool 30 years ago???) and it works.
Press the speaker light/switch to mute, it turns orange, press again, it goes back to cyan!!
