Post image from disk management. Most likely, you just need to manually assign a drive letter to partition.

You do have two physical hard disks i.e. D drive was not just a partition on only one drive?

If you do have two drives, It is not even showing second hard drive which is worrying. This usually means a hardware issue.

Can you see drive from bios or from say a live linux drive or Macrium rescue drive

    Check all cables are secure.

If cables are secure, and you cannot see drive outside of windows, there is a strong chance drive has failed.

Because this is a laptop we can assume that it has one physical hard disk drive installed in it.
A single hard drive can be partitioned into multiple lettered "volumes". Confusingly, folks refer to these partitions as "disks" or "drives".
When you look in Disk Management it is showing you graphically how many independent disk drives you have, and how they are partitioned. Your pictures shows you have 3: The laptop hard drive, the USB stick, and an optical drive.

So now we need to figure out 1) how the Windows Reset reformatted the hard drive and wiped out your D partition, and 2) whether the data in Partition D can be recovered.

I have never used a Reset in Windows so we will need someone with more knowledge about that to come along.
But if you can recall any messages or decision requests in the process that would be good for everyone to know.
