0x80004005 Unspecified error - Cannot erase file on USB Memory Stick

I don't know how this file got on to my USB Memory Stick. According to file properties, the size of the file is 52.5 GB. I want to erase this file but keep getting 0x80004005 Unspecified error message. I use Windows 10.

Hi m99dotca. Welcome to the TenForums @m99dotca

Have you copied off files you want to keep?

Then you could try a full format.

If that doesn't work you could try diskpart.

That means "permission denied". Right click the file and choose Properties. Is the file marked Read Only? If so uncheck the Read Only box.
You can also take ownership of the file to delete it. Take ownership of files and get full access in Windows 10
Or, as has been said, If all else fails, you can copy any other files you want to keep and Format the drive.
Press the Windows key +X choose Command Prompt (as admin)
In the Elevated Command Prompt, Type Diskpart and press enter.
    At this prompt type
    List Disk and press enter.
using the # next to the flash drive type
Select Disk (disk #) and press enter
The disk will now be selected, type
Clean, press Enter, be sure to select the correct drive as this will wipe the drive.
Now go to Disk Management and create a New Simple Volume for the flash drive and Format it.
