    Logitech C270 webcam boike after KB4019472


    I noticed it in Skype, tools /options/video setting - there is no longer any picture,
    it's either gray or some jumbled up lines.

    I used GPedit to disallow driver updates via Windows update
    Computer Config/Admin templates/Windows components/Windows update
    "Do not include drivers with Windows Updates" - enabled

    Uninstalled the Logitech software and drivers allowed it to revert to the base Microsoft driver.
    But problem remains.

    I remember hearing something about webcams having problems 6 months or more ago,
    but mine has been working fine until this update a few days ago.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    I'm start to believe the webcam itself has developed a problem. I've never heard of a webcam just dying before
    (the mic is still working) but I took it to a different PC where it used to work fine (Windows 7),
    and I'm getting the same problem

    Anyone heard of a webcam just burning out like this before? It's been used for at least 2 hours a day for almost 3 years
