In your screenshot at post #17 I do not see the destination at all.

Please start afresh and take the screenshots showing all the disks and drives (as in my previous post) as well as the screen where your files are listed ( the second one in my previous post).

Next press 'a' (just key A) to select all files .The selected files will turn Green. Take a screenshot of it. Then press C ( Shift+ C that is capital - upper case C)

The next screen should show the default location Directory C:\ testdisk 7.0 Take a screenshot.

Let us see where you miss it.

Another point: Did you download the Windows version of TestDisk as indicated in my post #6? If you downloaded Windows 64 bit TestDisk you won't be able to reach the destination. If you are unable to reach the correct destination I will squarely blame it on User Error.

Were you able to reach the correct destination? Are the files being copied to the right destination?

You were supposed to put up the screenshots to confirm the required files are selected, and you navigated to the desired destination folder Recovery in the destination drive. Anyway if you are sure that you did everything right and reached the correct destination, do not bother and let all files copy.

When all files are copied, close TestDisk and check the integrity. And yes, it may take a long time to copy and patience is the key in any data recovery process.

Glad you were able to recover all your important files using TestDisk.

You may try formatting the drive straightaway but I would recommend that you check your drive with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows http://support.wdc.com/downloads.aspx?lang=en

Testing a drive for problems using Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows http://support.wdc.com/knowledgebase/answer.aspx?ID=940

If it passes all the tests then do a full Erase (Lowlevel Format) with the same program. After Full Erase is completed do a regular quick format. (Please note that the Extended Test and a Full Erase will take many hours.)
