    please help converting basic disk to a dynamic disk


    Hi,
    I am sorry im not tech savy and i am trying to put 24tb together and i have 6 external drives of 4tb each. I am in disk management and I am trying to convert each of them from basic disk to a dynamic disk so i can group them together but it is showing a message of "The operation is not supported by the object"..im stucked and dont know what to do.

    Since each single drive is over 2TB, each drive will need to be Initialized separately as GPT rather then MBR.
    Do you have the Six 4TB drives in a NAS enclosure or are they attached to a RAID controller? if so, then they would have their own RAID control panel that you would enter from Bootup, Or you can use the Intel Storage Manager.
    Once you are in the RAID control panel, you would choose the drives and choose whatever RAID configuration you would like. With more then 2 drives you can do RAID 5 or 10 Create a RAID 10 Volume Using the Option ROM

Running windows 10, due to some personal reasons want to change my dynamic disk to a basic disk.But the option for the same is greyed out in Disk Management.If anyone posts a guide to accomplish the same I would be really grateful:)
