    BSOD installing AMD graphics driver

    Hi,
I have been facing this problem for a couple months now. Whenever I try to install AMD Graphics driver, my system crashes. Can someone suggest a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance!!

Did you try the update using the latest AMD driver from Lenovo?

    http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/pr...1-70/downloads

If you got that driver anywhere else, I would strongly suggest you try the Lenovo OEM driver.
(You could also try to update your driver via windows update from device manager too)

I hope my link points to the correct page because Lenovo usually has extended model numbers such as:

    Ideapad 110-15ISK (80UD0017US)

I also noticed your rig can be provisioned with either an Intel or AMD graphics' solution.

    Good luck,

Yes, I have tried installing latest drivers both from Lenovo and AMD websites. I have also tried clean installing Windows to check if the problem gets solved...But nothing helped

Do you have a working driver right now? If so, could you post a screenshot of it from device manager?

If not, and you have an exclamation point, could you post a screenshot of the hardware ID?

Also, do you have an extended model number as I advised in my original response?

AMD driver is not listed as i have not installed it yet. If I install it, my system crashes almost immediately.

Ok, it looks like you have an Intel + AMD switchable graphics solution. Right now, the Intel 550 graphics solution is working. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with switchable graphics so I am not the person to help you from here.

However, I did see a setting in your BIOS to activate switchable graphics so I'm wondering if that is not set properly.

With that said, I think you would be better served to (also) post your issue at the Lenovo forums but you have to do a better job of explaining your issue to get the proper help. Tell them the make/model number of your laptop. Tell them you have an Intel + AMD switchable graphics solution. Tell them the Intel 5500 driver is installed and working but you can't get the AMD driver to install. Ask if there is any written Lenovo documentation on how to get your switchable graphics working properly.

    Good luck,
