New problem.
OK I have updated the BIOS to UEFI and have reinstalled Windows 10 using my Windows 10 Recovery disk. The Disk Management Tool says that I have GUID Partition Table (GPT) on my main partition table.
However Windows is now failing to update at all!
UPDATE: I have manually uninstalled "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB3200970)" and now all sorts of things are downloading including Windows Defender, "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1607" etc. So I think I have solved the problem. But slightly odd that it managed to get stick where it did.
