    To summarize, for anyone else researching with a similar problem, at the end the issue seemed to be I needed low-density double-sided RAM and my system wouldn't accept or couldn't correctly use or recognize anything else.

It use to show up as 16.0 ram but now it shows up as a max of 14.1? I've also had weird PC issues like my games force closing, my browser tabs crashing instantly. I ran several virus scans and nothing was foujnd. I updated all my drivers etc.. ...

I needed an mp3 player but an mp3 player with a screen bigger than 3 inches. No luck finding one so I chose to buy a new 8 inch tablet with Windows 10 preinstalled for $55.00 which I will use and call an mp3 player and pretty well nothing else....
