    Do you see those bracketed numbers in your .bat file? I emboldened and underlined them for easier identification.

    @="[6cFgE][Sound, video and game controllers]"
    @="Portable Media Devices"
    They are numeric identifiers that are assigned to devices when those devices are installed onto a computer system. When your .bat file is run it's the first thing the registry looks for to finish assigning those identifiers to the rest of the required keys [notice the SafeBoot parameter] within your .bat to allow sound when you are in safe mode.

    Notice the "s" after Sound, video game controllers and Portable Media Devices; It doesn't matter, the registry will assign the identifier to any sound card you pick.
