    Hi,
@Tonyb : There's no reason to worry about that. You could replace that MS driver with one from Intel (RST for Z77 chip) but it won't make any difference performance wise.

@fdegrove mine looks like this , is just strange how that one driver is not there, at any rate i don't think accidently running that chipset setup from the thread did anything as it all looks the same LOL. so is that ide ata/atapi driver the intel rapid storage thing? so if it's ok like it is , i probable may leave it its way older driver i noticed then the one, provided by MSI, its from 2013, but its a windows 8.1 driver not sure if it will even install on windows 10 if it will i will just install it.

What you have currently installed is MS's AHCI driver for SATA ports.
Sometimes Intel's chipset driver package is just copying its files to the driver store without making any changes. At least I've seen that happen a couple of times.
You can then update them by going into device manager and update the driver(s) manually by making it show all compatible drivers. Not that it would change anything as far as functionality is concerned.

Some swear the Intel's RST drivers are better, faster than MS's standard one but truth be told I can't benchmark any difference.
Still should want to install them I guess you'd need ones from the 13 or maybe 14 series.
If you pick the wrong one it just will refuse to install.

Of course, if you machine fully supports Intel's RST and you want to toy with a RAID array then you will need these drivers and its accompanying software.
