Is it correct that these drivers are not compatible with my Z77 Intel Chipset? I can't find it in the list on the page

If it's indeed not compatible, which Intel Chipset drivers should I then download from the Intel website? I have an Asrock Pro4 Z77 motherboard.

    Hello Johnny, :)

If you like, you could see which version the "Intel Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility)" finds and recommends for you.

I checked for a new chipset driver yesterday for my X299 in Device Manager and it found something new.

It use to have it`s own place more near the top of the list under IDE/ATA controllers etc etc and said Intel 200 series chipset SATA AHCI Controller.

    Now it`s down here.

    Hi,

It always was under "Storage Controllers" for me.
What's the version it downloaded for you ?
I'm running a C236 chipset which is its bigger brother. Both are meant for workstations.

    Cheers,

Na mine was up higher on the list under IDE/Sata controllers etc. Like my Z170.

And IRST would no longer work so I uninstalled it, I don`t think we need that anyway.

Should I go back to what I had ?

I`m heading out to Applebee`s, I`ll check on this thread in a bit :)

Should I go back to what I had ?
No, what you have now is what I've always had anyhow. Works just fine for me.
