    Does your device manager report any issues with reader ?

    Can you read card on alternate computer or camera to show this is not a card issue?

    If using an external reader do you have another card to prove reader / cable okay?

    I know this doesn't get enough press time and there will be those that say it isn't need but I always use a software eject when I remove one of these cards from my computer or an external enclosure. It only takes one instance to fry a card.
