Lots of chatter on the internets that, since 2010, Synaptics touchpad drivers have enabled multi-touch on Windows. No matter what driver version I install, however, I never get multi-touch. In fact, I don't even get an option to enable multi-touch unless I force-install the latest drivers, ignoring Windows 10's warning that they may be incompatible with my hardware ... and, in any case, enabling multi-touch through this driver doesn't have any result for me.

I've not seen any reports that multi-touch only works on newer Synaptics hardware, but mine reports firmware 6.2, and none of the screen shots that I've seen in posts about multi-touch show firmware older than 6.5. So perhaps 6.2 firmware just can't support multi-touch? Anyone have any insights on this, or info about upgrading firmware?
